For this session, we wanted to capture both sides of that story; the pride of finishing high school and the faith and excitement of stepping into a mission. His letterman jacket held years of hard work, late nights, and memories, while the mission flag was a symbol of a brand-new journey just beginning. The way he carried both so naturally made the photos feel full of meaning.
We chose to keep things light, natural, and relaxed. There was no stiff posing, no forced smiles-just the kind of genuine energy that happens when someone is excited for what's next. Those little in-between moments-a laugh, a thoughtful pause, a proud smile-are what I love to photograph most.
The location played such a big role in how this gallery came together. We shot during early spring, when the trees were still bare but soft and warm in color-the perfect neutral backdrop to let his bold red jacket and mission flag really shine.
We chose a quiet park with a wooden bridge and open space, which gave us both clean, classic shots and more relaxed, candid moments. The soft afternoon light wrapped everything in a warm glow, highlighting the details without overpowering the emotion of the shoot.
It's the kind of setting I love-natural, timeless, and full of space to move and be yourself. The best images almost always come when people feel comfortable, and this location gave us exactly that.
